Hardware to install seats from 04 Suburban

Over the weekend I removed front and rear seats from a 2004 Suburban. I also took out the center console. My plan is to put these in my 67 Subrban. I'm just wondering if anyone can recommend any mounting hardware that they might have used to install seats like this? I just want to make sure they are properly bolted down and I won't have any issues if we are ever in an accident.

Thank you,
Nick

I would get large, thick washers for underneath the floor. That will help spread the load, also use nylock nuts so they won't come loose and grade 8 bolts. I'm doing the same thing to my 69 in February.

Yeah I was kind of thinking the same thing. At least the seats from the 04 had flat mounting hardware. It should be interesting to see how they fit in the 67.

These are the ones I'm going with. I have the front 2, middle and rear all out of the same Suburban. I am going to use 3/16" x 3" x About 24" flat stock on mine instead of washers. Pretty much run the length of the bolt pattern so I have excellent mounting strength.

Those seats look to be in really nice shape. Especially compared to what I'm about to use.

Re: Hardware to install seats from 04 Suburban

I would really love to see how people have installed their 99-06 seats in their 67-72 Suburbans. I just did a test fit yesterday and while the seats do fit they are tight from the first to second row. I'm thinking of making custom brackets to mount the rear seats and push them back a little bit more than they are.

Here are a few pics.

Second row looks tight, definitely swap the handle around to get it tight to the back

Yeah it's pretty tight in between the first and second row seats. I'm wondering if these seats are bigger coming from a Suburban compared to a Tahoe/ Yukon. I'm going to have to measure my bench seat at home from my 03 Yukon.

I might just end up making new seat brackets for the rear seats and mount them permanently instead of having them slide and fold like they do now. Then I will be able to move them back a little more like I want them. I'm 6'1" and want plenty of leg room for the front seats. I plan on driving this truck a lot.
