Another Motor Mount Question

Is there really any difference in stock replacement mounts for SBC? they all seem to be about the same price and available everywhere, I have the non-clamshell type. Not really sure I want to go to the poly mounts as I'm sure they transfer a lot more engine vibration to the frame than rubber.

Re: Another Motor Mount Question

The three sets I purchased from local auto parts stores all looked identical. All of theme were Chinese made, all had lifetime warranties and all started to crack or tear within two years. I am a bit of a Hoonigan so after tearing the third set of mounts I switched to poly. I personally don't notice much difference in vibration. I would expect typical rubber mounts to hold up at least 5 -10 years if you are not an aggressive driver. Keep your receipt, they won't last a lifetime.

Re: Another Motor Mount Question

Maybe my “butt-o-meter” isn’t that sensitive, but I notice no difference in vibration running the poly mounts vs. the oe mounts.
