Anybody have the Early Classic Enterprises or McGaughys brake kit

I am looking to upgrade the brakes on my 1968 Chevy C10 396 shortbed. It came with factory manual drums front and back. I want to upgrade to disc brakes all around and also lower the front and rear of the truck maybe 4 inches in the front and 5 inches in the rear or something close but I dont want any clearance problems with suspension etc.

Does anybody have any experience with Early Classic Enterprise brake kits or the McGaughys brake kits?

I am wanting a kit that if I needed to replace the rotor, caliper, pad, etc that I could go to a local auto parts store and buy them.

I noticed the McGaughys offers a 13 in front and 13 inch rear disc brake kit which sounds awesome but I dont see where they offer a master cylinder and booster that would work with that combo.

Any input is welcome and thanks!

I like the Early Classics one. I have done both brands and the McGaughys rubbed a wheel. WES

ECE is a great company with quality products. I've used their 4/6 drop kit; top notch. No experience with their brake kits tho. I got my brake kit from Wes, up above ^^^, at Classic Heartbeat a couple years ago. I give a big recommendation for Classic Heartbeat

I have the ECE conversion kit with 2 1/2" drop spindles on my 69. Very happy with them.

I have the ECE kit as well although I don't remember what parts I could get at the auto parts store for replacements. Good kit though.

Re: Anybody have the Early Classic Enterprises or McGaughys brake kit

I did a scarebird kit that used off the shelf mid 90s heavy half ton parts and I could either go 5 or 6 lug. More than enough brakes I must say and they are stouter than the CPP brakes I installed on a 60 apache.
