Back of bumper paint?

My repop chrome rear bumper has held up well for 7 years, but back of bumper now has rust and some scaling, worth it to sand and paint with a DTM black paint?

Re: Back of bumper paint?

I cleaned mine up and painted it silver. Looks great and you can't even tell if it's metal or paint from the back.

Just use a wre brush to ge the surface/loose rust off, a spray it with a Rust inhibitor.

Re: Back of bumper paint?

I use Silver, and paint the inside before installing on truck.
that way it looks factory original finish, except no rust.

I normally use Silver Eastwood Rust Encapsulator on the backside of my chrome bumpers.
