Haha thanks they came out of a 2011 2500 they are so comfy!! Here is another look with the console down! I was so amazed how easy they were to fit in just using the factory mounts.

NICE Paint! Good idea that's usually untouched real estate on these trucks.

Finally got the cab and chassis back from the body shop, mechanic dropped in a 406 roller. surprisingly the hooker headers fit like a glove, he was very surprised for some reason. Just waiting on the carb and hook the new gas tank and hopefully GOOD to go.

Re: What did you do to your truck today? Chapter II

BugzC10 that's a great idea for the cup holder, I have a similar one in my 89 chevy pickup which is optional only really seen a few amount of trucks that have those, haven`t looked yet but I have heard you can purchase them in LMC truck. Cool

I got almost all of the rebuilt front a arms with all new cross shafts, balljoints and brake hoses installed on the truck today after work, Hope the upper a arm mounting stud I ordered comes in tomorrow, I have all the RH suspension put together and the upper a arm loosely bolted in just need to slide the new stud thru. also got the self adjuster in the front brakes freed up and adjusted. I am going to keep the drums all the way around just add a powerbrake booster will work fine for me.

Going to get the TJ springs in tomorrow and start making the shock relocate bracket.

will post pics soon.

Thanks...I jury rigged it the first time, but after I installed a new Vintage Air AC System it's not going back on as well. I have to be in the mood to re-engineer the attaching and support brackets.

I know this is a super old (in internet and forums terms) post, but dang that is one of the nicest panels I have ever seen, and I have seen a lot. Congrats on that.

Re: What did you do to your truck today? Chapter II

Today I installed the rally wheels that I painted yesterday, replaced a warped pully on the crank, and tried to isolate where a vibration was coming from in teh motor (hence the pully replacement). I also swapped the carb.

Re: What did you do to your truck today? Chapter II

My water pump was squeaking and I found it to be leaking as well. Grabbed hold of the fan (engine off of course) and it had a lot of play/wobble. $30.00 for a new W/P at AutoZone. Took me about 2 hours to install it.

Re: What did you do to your truck today? Chapter II

Pulled engine out a few months ago. Freshened it up, new cam, heads, and valve gear. All this took a lot longer than planned and I had a lot of trouble getting it going.

So today I went out in the snow and played around with getting the dizzy in right(that was another thread) and it finally fired up! Yessssss! Just in time to let it sit all winter, though. Haven't got to drive it yet. Well, we'll see.

Re: What did you do to your truck today? Chapter II

Spent my birthday at the shop putting my 70 back together. After staying at the body shop until 11:45pm on new years eve(yes my wife has disowned me) I needed to take a couple days out and get back on track. Far as I got today, was putting the new Weld Draglites and BFG'S on and installing the grill.
