What is the correct length of radiator hoses that fit on each end of metal pipe??

The Gates or Dayco hoses I picked up from Nappa in the past have always fit
last set of dayco's # 70735, 70935 |

Measured with smallblock. 5-1/2" at thermostat and 3-1/2" at radiator.
