Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds Part II

Hey guys! Just joined the forums, thought I would hop in and post a few pics of my pride and joy! Shes an 81 K10, has a pretty stock 355 with a SM465, got it when I started driving and daily drove it until I was in a nasty front end crash last January, I don't have any pics of the wreck handy but I will gather some to document the long process of putting it back together, here are some shots of her early on of my ownership!

Looks like a nice truck to build, wrecking it is sad but happy part is now you can build it the way you want, keep us posted on the progress.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Short Beds Part II

Anybody know anything about this truck? Not often you see an 81-82, and even less often to see a GMC. I wish they'd kept the signal lights in the bumper though, and used a grille with the GMC logo. That grille and the bumper signal lights are my favorite parts of the entire 73-87/91 run.

As bought earlier this year:

After some clean-up and bolt-on removal:

1982 on 35's
350/SM465

The rebuild is here.

Very sharp, I like the bronze colored wheels, different in a good way.

It has 2" coils and 2.5" spindles so techincally 4.5" but it seems a lot lower to me. I can barely fit my shoe under the air dam.
