Hydroboost??

Just wondering..I see a few threads about putting hydroboost on the old trucks. For what reason??

They have more stopping power with less effort than vacum assist.
If you have a large cam they work without manifold vacum.
They are also more compact than units with vacum assist.
The only downside would be the extra plumbing as they run off the power steering pump.

another reason is size.
if you want power brakes, and you want to keep the brakes on the frame, you have to run an aftermarket booster, or hydroboost.

the aftermarket boosters arnt known for being trouble free.. but the hydroboost is OE on diesels that go hundreds of thousands of miles. along with a lot of cars..
