Re: Hardtop with Sunroof/window

Yup. I never understood a sunroof in a convertible top.

Re: Hardtop with Sunroof/window

I saw that on CL. Not a bad looking project.

Aftermarket and, to most Blazer owners, not very desirable.

Re: Hardtop with Sunroof/window

It's a double wall though so a top could be found. Could always throw a single wall on. There is one for sale on the Sacramento CL for $400.

Re: Hardtop with Sunroof/window

Its an easy fix for a good fiberglass guy. Im with bouncytruck, why would anybody want a sunroof on a convertible top. I had a single wall top that i had patched and it turned out nice.

Re: Hardtop with Sunroof/window

FYI, the tops are not fiberglass, but I can't remember what it is they are made of. There are a couple of top repair threads.

Re: Hardtop with Sunroof/window

Aftermarket as much as I know. I always thought they were ugly. If you don't ever want to take the top off I guess this would be a help in the summer.

You are correct its made from a hard reinforced plastic, but the repairs are done similar to fiberglass repair.

Re: Hardtop with Sunroof/window

I've repaired mine with fiberglass and bondo. Works the same as patching metal. A hole as big as that one I'd have no clue how to do it and make it look good.

Re: Hardtop with Sunroof/window

I believe it's called SMC. It's similar to fiberglass, but uses a different resin.

Re: Hardtop with Sunroof/window

i kinda like the idea of a sunroof.... because sometime you cant be topless... and a sunroof is the next best thing...

i know in floriduh where im at, from about may thru november you cant go topless... because it rains almost every day granted its usually for less than 30 minutes then mr sun comes back out...
