Lowering Buddy Bucket Seats

Has anyone ever lowered Buddy Bucket seat frames? I finally have finished my long project and now able to drive the truck. I acquired a set of Buddy Bucket seats during the build and tore them down, sandblasted, painted, added new foam and new upholstery. Now that they are in the truck I am sitting higher than I would like. I am 6'3" and my line of sight is right where the tint on the new windshield is.

I was thinking of fabricating a new set of frame end plates. I have a drawing from the forum and I also have the set in my truck for reference. By fabricating new plates, I would still have the original ones to go back on if I decide to sell them and go to a bench. I still have enough of the single stage black left to shoot the newly fabricated ones.

I have attached image of my seats and a image of the side plate drawings. I marked them in red where I thought I would lose 1.5" and keep the same angle. Any thoughts would be helpful.

Re: Lowering Buddy Bucket Seats

Yep. It's in my build on page 15. I did exactly what you have drawn up for the angles but I only took out 1 1/4". I also added power seats. Way nicer.

Re: Lowering Buddy Bucket Seats

I have read our thread before few times, totally forgot about what you did to the seat frame. I guess I will move forward with plans, thanks again for reminding me. I will just fab up a new set of end frame parts so I can keep originals for resale if needed.
