Torsion bar help

Hi all,
Some of you know my build and for those of you that don't, its a 1961 Apache, 1/2 ton 2wd. We are s till running the torsion front end in conjunction with a double adjustable Viking shock. The truck is lowered, and has a supercharged 6.0 with a 4L80E....Im sure the torsion setup was not designed for that much weight upfront. Anyway, after about 4500 miles, the torsion bars keep settling, it seems they are totally worn out or just cant handle the weight. It does however ride very good and handle well the way it is set up!
Now the question.....I am assuming there is no source for new bars? Is there anyone that can modify the existing ones or build bars? If not I assume the next option would just to order the correct rate/weight spring for my front shocks and make it a coil over truck in the front.
