fender flares ?
Are these Bushwacker flares? If so how do they attach? Surely all those bolts are simulated, right?

Re: fender flares ?
pretty sure theyre held on with adhesive..but they could be screwed on..google shows many manufactures, so itd be hard to narrow down whose brand they are...but they are close to the ones top gear sells

Re: fender flares ?
I've been looking up on the Bushwacker site. They have a "cut out" type and a non cut out type. They look the same from here.

Re: fender flares ?
Bushwacker's original flares, extenda-fender, screwed into the edge of the wheel opening and were smooth, looked like part of the vehicle. Then they came out with cut-outs which extended out more, you cut the wheel opening larger, and they fastened by screws in those pockets. Then people wanted the pocket look, so they make the bigger flares with pockets. I'm thinking on those the screws/pockets are just for looks (?). I can see screws in the body when the wheel opening has been cut, but not on non-cut-outs

Re: fender flares ?
that is correct, currently they have NO DRILL clips for the fender lips or use existing holes...vehicle dependent.
the perimeter holes are visual only, 3m tape and a gasket usually against the painted surface. i prefer to install, outline with a pencil and apply a thin strip of clear bra around the contact area of the painted surface. |

Re: fender flares ?
And where would I find this "clear bra"? I can think of several excellent uses.
