Headliners?

I've always liked the headliner in these old trucks. Mine doesn't have the holes. I don't want to make any. Did anyone here install a headliner with out the chrome? Does it look stupid with out the chrome? And how did you install one? What did you use to install one?

Re: Headliners?

Grind the tabs of the trim and install with 3 molding tape.

Re: Headliners?

I used a construction adhesive that I bought at Home Depot. I had to prop it up with 2 by 4's until it set up. I also installed the perimeter chrome trim so I had to drill a few holes to secure it. It has stayed in place for over 3 years.

Re: Headliners?

That double sided 3M trim tape would probably work great. I used a little to mount something to a gate at home and really had to pry the thing off...

Re: Headliners?

I was looking to a head liner and the local interior guy said use industrial grade Velcro. He uses it all the time on boat interior stuff. Make for easy removal if you have to.

Re: Headliners?

I have small holes in the roof of my 67 that I assume is for headliner trim. I do plan on adding a headliner in the future.
Does the trim not hole the liner without adhesive/Velcro to help?
