Need some help - Transmission problems?

I have an 88 Blazer, automatic, 2.8, 4X4. It starts and runs perfect until the motor warms up. Then it starts acting like the transmission is slipping. You can stop and shut it off, count to 10, start it back and it will run perfect for a few minutes then it does the same thing again. Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be? I would appreciate any help.

I would say torque converter, as I had this same thing to happen to me once and that is what I changed to fix it.. Wasnt very long the tranny went out afterwards and I found lots of metal shavings (from the tc) all in the tranny.
