Window kit?

Could someone recommend a decent quality window kit for a '70 C30? I need to replace the mechanical working of the device that moves the side windows up and down. Mine will occasionally bind and they rattle inside the doors. I keep finding electric conversion kits and I don't really want that. Any recommendations?
Thank you.

Re: Window kit?

Replaced the left side regulator in my 68 last weekend with a OER regulator from Classic industries. Window rolls up and down perfect now.

I just ordered a Goodmark right side regulator from Rock Auto for just over $30 shipped...I should have ordered it at the same time as the left, but after replacing the left one I figured might as well do it now since I haven't put the window felt kit on passenger side yet. I had to take off the new felt kit from the drivers side since I had installed it already.

I would recommend changing everything you can in the door if you have to do the regulator, makes life so much easier. I am replacing the regulator, door handle relays, locks, plus installing new window felt and trim.

HTH, good luck.

Re: Window kit?

I'm pretty sure my new regulators came from Classic Industries. Been happy with them so far. I also put new felts in the tracks and made sure the rollers and the channels they move in were clean and smooth. Then I lubed them with a dry lube (garage door track lube) to hopefully keep things smooth over the long term.

Re: Window kit?

Much thanks. I'll give Classic Ind a look. And I agree, everything in the door should be replaced, locks, handles, felt etc..just wanted to get everything in one order if possible. Thanks again.
