pancake/sectioned crossmember question

So I am installing a 1978 c30 crossmember that I sectioned 1.5" out of. Its being installed in my 68 c10. The three vertical holes lined up no problem. The two bolts that go through the side of the frame dont line up with the holes in the frame anymore and only partially line up with the holes that are close to it.

What is everyone doing? welding up the partial holes and re-drilling in the right location?

Re: pancake/sectioned crossmember question

Usually drill new holes. Ive seen a few people weld in threaded bungs to the very top bolts when there are partially lined up with the frame and you dont habe enough frame to drill a proper hole.
