Question Blazer Rear Seat

Here's the question:

I need a rear seat for my 69 Blazer. Was wondering what anyone has used (other than stock)? Specifically what I'm looking for is a rear seat with a shoulder belt built into the seat. Unless someone has a suggestion for a shoulder belt installation in the 69.

With twin 3 year old sons and another due in July, I'd like to take them to the beach in the Blazer. Just want to know they're safely fastened in the car seats.

Used the search and stopped after page 2. I really like the front Dodge Ram seats w/ console that have been put in some p/u's.

Thanks,

John

I believe the 3rd seat in later model (up to '91) Suburbans are the same seats as your Blazer rear seat is. I had a '90 Suburban until a couple of years ago when I got my '99 'burb. It had rear shoulder harness belts in it that you MIGHT be able to make work.

ILM,

I saw some 2003 Tahoe seats (second or third row...can't remember) on ebay. They have the shoulder belt built in...thought they would work great. Pretty expensive, but very nice and would secure the kiddies. Not sure how wide they are though.

You could build a full cage that covers the rear seat too and attach shoulder harness to the cage.
