Re: 4X4 Action Pix

The is back. The creek is barely running but the rangers have the gates closed so the rest of the park was way crowded...lots of bikes & quads. My rig might not twist like a jeep but we sure put her to the test today.

Re: 4X4 Action Pix

Wow did we get stuck! The whole truck (front and back) was high centered in this hole, not to mention she was leaning against the ground on the driver side. We generated quite a crowd. After the winch wouldnt pull her out forward and a Cherokee couldnt pull her out backwards, we had this big suburban do some violent yanks to get her free...thanks guys! Of course after all that this Bronco with front locker went throught the same hole twice to show me up but he never did drop his tires in the same hole, just straddled it until he had battery trouble, typical Ferd just kiddin, good people all, good fun!

You sure do know how to have fun! Couldn't even imagine having somewhere like that close by to wheel - don't take it for granted!

Jack, yes I know how lucky I am to have this free park only 6 miles from my house. (and I only live 3 miles from downtown!) Its ironic how many people I hear *****in about the place. Its better than nuthin'. A whole lot better! Heres a better looking touched up pic from before.

Gun control, the theory that 110lb. women have the "right" to fistfight with 210lb. rapists.

The reason animal rights activists are more passionate about fur than leather is because it's safer to harrass rich women than bikers...

More fun. Thanks to Matt for taking some actual non-poser shots (blurry). This last is of shot of Matt's big tan Blazer after he lost a front driveline.

Re: 4X4 Action Pix

As some of you know I've been debating on getting a Dana 60 front from a buddy......well, I broke a front axle-joint and stub shaft on my Dana 44, so....decision made. I'll start a new thread as I start working on the 60.

Thanks Guys!
Some of my friends call my truck terminator cuz it doesn't like to stop or once I start I don't stop until I bust thru to the other side...that time I alomost lost it so I had to stop and take a different line
some of the guys I have wheeled with in the past take FOR EVER to get thru a hard spot, stoping, backing up, worried about whatever.....then I pull up look for my line and then go go gadget throttle foot...works but not everytime hahahaa
Another reason I NEED a front D60
My next adventure will be at Pismo Dunes in May...really get to open up the 454 there
