Re: YouTube Channels

Can't believe nobody's mentioned United By Trucks. That's our own GAC10Boy and Flashed! Great channel! If you're a Jeeper, Coffee Walk with Dennis Collins is great.
Of Course, Finnegan's Garage is great too.

Re: YouTube Channels

The last few days I have been watching Matt's recoveries. I'm amazed how much traction his jeep has even with worn out tires. Good clean video too. And some of their recoveries are unbelievable.

Matt says the smooth tires have better traction in sand, and that new tires with lots of aggressive tread just dig down in sand.

That one with the other XJ that fell through the two track into a pit was the freakiest!

And the 2wd Chevy @ 36* slope. I think he said 4 other towing companies had failed on that one. Man's pretty good at his job.

That wasn't as scary as Matt climbing down in that pit under the Cherokee. Who knows how much more the ground was going to collapse.

Re: YouTube Channels

Yeah, that was "sketchy" as they say.

My friend's mom and dad did something like that to get out of their place in the mountains after a sudden fall snowstorm. His dad jacked up the front of their car and chained the front wheels up on the back of his flatbed truck, and put his mom in the car to "drive." That gave four wheels (or six - might have been a dually?) pushing the two steering wheels of the truck. She told us the story, and said she was terrified they would drive off the cliff and she would have no idea until it was too late: she just had to keep on the gas pedal and hope!

This was probably in the late forties or fifties. I'm not sure where the kids fit in there but they would have been pretty small. Of course the mom and dad are passed now, my friend is retired and the family has sold the cabins & store business after 70+ years.

All this interesting stuff happened and nobody had digital cameras and the internet to share it.

Re: YouTube Channels

I watch United by Trucks, Uncle Tony’s Garage, and Vice Grip Garage. Zip Ties and Bias Plies is funny but gets on my nerves sometimes.
