Re: Project 70 Yellow Turd

The latest work. Rear roll pan is complete along with exhaust exits. Roof is straightened & floor is mostly complete. Still have to re-work the dash to fit the 06 Yukon XL center console. Getting close to primer.

"Cool beans".
That's an old time 'happy' expression. At any rate it looks great, though, sadly most people who see it won't know just how much work went in to making it so.
Nice work.

Re: Project 70 Yellow Turd

How bad were the front seats to get them to sit right? as far as floor height and old vs new holes. I have 97 tahoe seats for mine.

Wasn't too bad. Just needed to block up the outer side of the rails roughly 1".

Re: Project 70 Yellow Turd

Truck is looking good man. You have done a lot of work here.
Do you still have that T2 intake? If so let me know if you want to get rid of it.
Have you chosen a color yet? Still going all black?

Still have the T2 intake & yes I want to get rid of it.

Black & Orange are my business colors so most everything I own is black & orange. Besides the fact that I am a huge Oregon State University fan & our local High School has Black, Orange & Silver as their colors. That being said...its going all black with a sunset orange pearl motor.

Re: Project 70 Yellow Turd

Truck is blocked and ready for its 2nd prime. Ordered the 2 inch front drop springs, rear air bags, super track bar kit, shock relocators and front/rear KYB shocks. Going for a 4.5/6 inch drop. I was going with a static drop but the added weight of the Yukon floor and 3rd seat dictates rear bags.

Re: Project 70 Yellow Turd

Nice job. It's a shame most people won't realize how much work went into what you have done to it. At least Roscoe knows and I'm sure he'll enjoy the heck out of it when it's done.
