Really tired of working around the factory brake booster. Any thoughts on a smaller booster or an alternative

Go with a small dual diaphragm booster if space is a issue....hydroboost is another option

I think my 69 had an 11" booster which has an area of 95 square inches. So, if you go the dual booster route, 8" is very close to that. Do not use dual 7", or you will lose 20% of the stock area. A dual 9" would work well with a heavy truck or a low vacuum cam.

However, the M/C is gonna stick out further into the engine compartment, unless you get a setup that uses a shorter firewall-to-booster mounting bracket than stock. I'd call Master Power Brakes to see what they suggest.
