yeah, I about fell off my couch at the price of the 125K one! I too will refrain from saying what I though it was worth, because apparently, I don't know anything!

I've told people we wouldn't take less than 100k for our real matching number 72 K10 Cheyenne SWB. I have also said I think it would break the bank at a big well know auction house. With this sale at 125K plus commission, I obviously have our's under priced.

Re: Barrett Jackson scottdale 67-72 entries

This one gets my vote for the best Chev/GMC example of the whole auction, and it sold for only around $60K Coulda bought two for the price of the $125 K10!
I'd love to see the SPID. But a real swb YE9 with buckets, that's pretty much the top of the heap for $. Only thing it's was "missing" was a big block - but I think I could learn to love it anyway... What a gorgeous example.

Is the wiper knob missing on the white GMC? Wonder what it would have brought if the knob was on there?

Wow...that is one of the best equipped trucks I have ever seen, serious holy grail of classic trucks....very nice.
I too would be interested in seeing what that one goes for.

All good

That was a board members truck at one time. I believe Jason sold this one and his project truck as a package deal to the same buyer.

Re: Barrett Jackson scottdale 67-72 entries

Yes, member sameyrasmea owned it for a long time. It’s the exact truck that came to mind when I mentioned that the white one didn’t have a big block. Has always been my idea of the most valuable 67-72 I’ve ever seen. Has been sold as you mentioned Scott, and I believe the new owner has repainted it a different color. I’ve always wanted to see how it turned out.

Super nice. From what I know, they swapped out the wood grain for Custom Deluxe black.

If only it had a BB. That's as sharp as I've seen.

Jocko, I can assure you (The Sneak Peak Barn find) as member sameyrasmea once posted, has NOT been painted at all. The truck retains its original paint and all, the paint has only received wax but that's it, new wheels were added but original wheels are awaiting to be put back.
I say all this as I am the caretaker

Not sure where you heard of the swapping out of the wood grain but I can tell you the truck remains original inside and out with the addition of new wheels that i just hate. I will be putting back the original wheels.
I am the caretaker of this awesome truck.

THAT is awesome news, thanks for sharing! Funny how attached we get to some trucks that aren't even our own - that one truck has been my favorite 72 in existence since the first time I saw it.

Thank you Jocko! Like you, it became my favorite when I first saw it too. Not sure how I got so lucky but I can certainly say I did.
Maybe I will resurrect the original posting and will try and post pictures. Honestly, I have not taken but maybe one picture.

SIKKI-6

I appreciate your comprehension of the special nature of that truck
I collect these Super’s and have the same feelings
We are just the caretakers
There are fewer and fewer originals every year.

Thank you....
They are only original Once !
