66 c10 brakes only get power from headlights
I previously had power to the lights when I shouldn't have and that was was due to the steering column hookup. I wired up an aftermarket blinker system and a constant 12v goes to the correct blinker wire when you activate them. I have to figure out why they aren't blinking and I don't know if it's the blinker or that there is no lights hooked up. When I turn the headlights on I get 6v to both blinker wires and the tail light.
When I turn the lights off I get no power to the tail light. When I check the orange wire on the brake button I get 0v with the truck on, but when I turn on the headlights I get 5-6v. I'm now trying to figure out why power is constantly going to the orange side of the brake button. previous thread: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=812926 |

Re: 66 c10 brakes only get power from headlights
I cleaned up the fuse terminals. Then I found that the the aftermarket blinker was hooked up to constant power instead of switch on. I also diconnected the aftermarket blinker indicator wire. Doing this fixed the problem.
