lift kit swaps

My son (well I have....LOL) a 2004 Z71. It has a 6" FabTech lift.

Will that lift kit swap to a 2003 Tahoe?

I have never looked under the back end of a Tahoe so I am not sure if there are differences.

And never made this type of swap so not sure what works? what does not?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Re: lift kit swaps

The front will be a direct swap.

The rear will not. The truck has leaf springs. The Tahoe has a 4 link and coil springs.

Re: lift kit swaps

10-4.

I will look into kits and see if I can buy the back half for the Tahoe.

Thanks again.

I'm a old school straight axle guy. The '04 truck was bought with the lift kit.

Learning as I go.

Re: lift kit swaps

Are you looking to put the factory Tahoe parts back on the truck? If so, the front diff mounting brackets were most likely cut off the frame.

Re: lift kit swaps

Unfortunately (LOL) the truck is going to a straight axle swap.
