2003 2500hd Flashing Service Engine Light

Hi guys I have a 2003 Silverado 25000hd 6.0 with 170,000. Always on top of maintainance. Yesterday on my way home my truck slightly rev'd and the engine light started to flash then went off a minute later. Im going into town later to check out the code. Any Ideas? Thanks a bunch guys

When the check engine lamp flashes, it indicates that there is a misfire bad enough to cause damage to the cat. converter.

My guess is you will have misfire codes. Either P0300-P0308.

Its usually an ignition problem. Bad coil, worn/bad plug, bad wire. Sometimes it can be fuel or cylinder related (loss of compression) or a vacuum leak near that cylinder causing a lean miss.

AC Delco. for plugs. AC Delco/Delphi for the coil.

Before you throw parts at it, what code did you have?
