94 frame under a 63 gmc

Well got lots of work done the past week . Did lots of research about this and everyone said don't but I had too. After finding the donor truck with new tranny and new clutch and motor that only has 10000 kms on it the battle began . It was not as tough as most would think worked out really good to Me.

Did you shorten the box too?
And, is that the cab I saw in your garage this summer?
I still need to grab those bezels for my stepside.

Looks good. So what all did you have to do to make it work? I have been thinking about doing the same.

Well the cab fit well plan on moving the front mounts back and shorting then by 1 1/4". The rear hole end up right over top of the frame ,have some work to do there. Rad support is about 4" off the frMe going to make custom mounts or use part of the 94 rad support to mine so I can use stock location. It's not as hard or bad as I thought it would have been. Going to post more pictures and info as I get more done this weekend

I had thought about using the 94 mounts on the cab. Just cut the section of the 94 cab out where it's bolted in and weld to the floor of the 65 cab, that way I have the new bushings and can unbolt the cab from underneath. That would be simple even if you have to move the mounts themselves.

Make any progress on the weekend?

Re: 94 frame under a 63 gmc

got some pitures front mounts are off the new frame just cut down and moved back. rear mounts are off the 63 frame just cut down to match angle and welded on top of the frame. im working on the rad mounts right now igoing to use the rad support off the 94 and cut it down to mount the 63 to it.
