Just wondering i have seen alot of blazers with it out the sides by the back tires they say because of fumes but i have 3inch all the way back with flows and i never had the problems with fumes getting inside..Does anyone else have it out the back as well???

I've had mine out the back since '95 and haven't passed out yet! I've heard others say that the fumes get in, but I have not noticed anything. Could be all the rust holes letting in the fresh air

The exhaust on my '72 sort of dumps down in the rear corners.

Mine are out the side also.
Never had any trouble with the dop off, it's when it's on and the low pressure area created by the top seems to suck them in a bit.

Are you talking about when the top's on or off?

We Have made custom headers off the BB going back throgh the frame cross members , over the trailing arms and back straight out parrallel to the frame. Oh... 2WD.

From what I have heard, most people get a lot of fumes when they run their soft tops. They aren't quite as air tight (if you can call the hard tops air tight.) I get a little of it with my '69 so I usually run with the rear window rolled up on the soft top, it's easier to see out the back too.

I think you get more fumes with it out the back with the top off. Though I have no quantitative way to prove that.

I personally like when the exhaust comes over the rear axle, and then dumps straight down. I think you get the best sound that way. It kind of rumbles off the ground. I had a 307 in one of my trucks, and had the exhaust dumped after the rear axle, and it sounded better than a different truck that I had with a 350 and pipes out the back. Just my $.02

Well to me nothing like the smell of carbon vapers burning the eyes...lol had that problem with a crappy carb all fixed now with my new speed demon carb..
