'61 transmission mount

Am replacing the transmission mount on my '61 Apache C10 283 powerglide. Three attempts at the local NAPA proved futile. The number out of the Assembly Manual lists it as 3769956. Looked at a couple aftermarket sites that list it the same as the manual transmission. Not sure that's right. Does anyone know a reliable source for this mount?

Try a trans mount for a '77 C10 with either a TH350 or TH400. It should be the same mount from about 1960 thru the early to mid '80's

I tried as you suggested but to no avail. The part of the mount that bolts to the transmission has holes that are to close together to attach to the transmission. Holes on the old mount are 4 5/8" center to center. Any mounts at the store have those mounting holes to close together.
While the parts books list many applications from the 60's on, those mounting holes are to close together.
Finally, a counter guy at a local Advance store knew the difference between a transmission mount and a hubcap. He pulled several mounts from different years and Chevy vehicles. I settled on an Anchor #2268.

The mounting holes have to be enlongated but I think it'll work.

61 still had the cast iron pg as the mount was probably different than the 62 alum pg. Maybe look for a 58-61 car pg mount.

61K10 Thanks for the response. Actually I did check those as well, even the Corvette cast iron PG's. The part number comes up the same. I think it's one of those deals where the replacement part doesn't fit exactly like the OEM part. I ran into the same thing with the front inner wheel bearings.

Just a FYI. The old part number 3769956 was superceded to 3781954. Found one on EBay.
