04 Silverado K1500 Dr Front Diff seal

The Dr Front diff Seal failed on my 04 Silverado. Should be a couple hours at most and a 7 dollar seal . The axle stub will NOT pull out. I yanked the whole thing out and took it to a driveline shop. They can't get it apart either even with every trick in the book. You can't slide the spider pin out on this one. The only option appears to be to cut the axle flange off and press out whats left after disassembly hoping what's left of the it all is usable then get a new stub. 550 bucks from a dealer or maybe a good used one. It was an otherwise very clean and tight diff. Hadn't leaked a drop previous to this. I grabbed a used on from the wrecker but I know it has a lot more miles and even with new seals will likely weep a bit. The axle stubs aren't pristine.

Does anybody have any ideas to get this stub out? The used unit I bought it popped right out like you should expect.
