Broken head Pipe Stud

O.K.Kiddies here we go again. I'm still working on the 5.7 motor in my 1992 Surbooban, and the donut on the passenger's side was blown out. I removed two of the three studs CAREFULLY but the third one went *Ping* and snapped off. I'm not going to waste my time laying on the ground with metal chips falling in my face if I don't have to. Has anyone tried the AP8001 repair gadget? I'm gonna try but I'd rather hear from someone else that has been successful before I order some.
How about the Nickson 17351 Clamp-A-Stud 1 1/4-2 3/4 has anyone tried these?
