Any issues with inner rim rubbing on upper or lower control arm?

The truck originally had 18x8" w/5.25"BS TT2's on the front & they would buzz the arm so I trimmed it back. When I changed up the look, nothing else special was required.

Thanks! I lowered mine, took of the rallies in the process and sold them and bought 20". Rode like crap so I sold those and are going back to the 15 inch rallies. Heard they might rub on the control arms so wanted to see if there was much I had to do to remedy that issue

I've done a bunch of C10's & always just trim the a-arm lip so I don't have to worry about interference.

Thanks, Longhorn. Fronts are 215/70 on van rallys and rear are 275/60s on stock 8in rallys.

What's your plan, how low? Mine is lowered 5in in the front and I went with the narrow wheel and tire just so I would not have any rubbing issues. It rides good and steers straight. I like the looks of the 275's all the way around, my truck originally had them but it rubbed. Some day I would like to try 18's all 4 corners but the color green is holding me back right now. I just finished with a new motor, new 700r trans, and new 3:73 posi unit. The well is dry for now.
When you get it lowered and wheels you are going for let us see the results. Good Luck

Re: lowered shortbeds on stock wheels?

BLP my 86 has 1.25 coils cut and a leaf removed currently. I want to do a 2.5 inch spindle and either a flip kit or shackle/ hanger drop. I posted a picture some time ago in here i believe. I need to take a current one to update
