3 peed to 350 trans swap
Hi I just converted my 1969 c10 to auto 350 with a 250 4.1 6 cyl. and cannot get a starter to fit . The nose of the starter is to large to bolt on . I bought a starter from NAPA for this application and this starter fits cars and trucks up to 1975, part #RAY 2464791 Anyone else have this issue ? Thanks Keith

Re: 3 peed to 350 trans swap
edit - misunderstanding, I see you have a 250 with a th350 trans. You must have got a starter for a 250 powerglide. You may have to look for a starter from a 72 C10 with 250 auto. I think they were using th350's by then.

Re: 3 peed to 350 trans swap
I've got four starters ranging in year from 69 to 77. A couple of them used on a TH350. Can you post a picture of the starter you have? Might help id it.

Re: 3 peed to 350 trans swap
Did you use a 153 tooth flexplate or a 168 tooth? You have to get a starter to fit the size of the flexplate you used.

Re: 3 peed to 350 trans swap
I have a 168 tooth flexplate . That's what it called for . But I believe you are correct 1.275 inch difference . 168 tooth is 14 1/8 and the 153 tooth is 12.85 . I looked it up for a 1972 c10 and that what it used . Thank you
