Question TH400 info

have a TH400 in my 67 c10 2wd w/350, want to add a trans temp and pressure gauge and not sure where to look for proper access to add a fitting. Is the cooler line ok or somewhere else on trans case.

Re: TH400 info

In the past, I've welded a bung in the pan for a temp gauge. You just have to be sure there is no interference issues.

Thumbs up Re: TH400 info

thanks for the reply, i was thinking about putting a tee fitting in the cooler line to the radiator, the temp sensor is a 3/8" thread and not too long, try different
fittings to keep the sensor not too much in the flow, not sure if this will be OK
for good temp readings.

Re: TH400 info

My B&M trans temp gauge came with the fitting for the cooling line. It was very simple.

Re: TH400 info

If you put the sender in the cooling line, make sure it is in the line coming from the trans and not going back to the trans.
