Re: Silverado restoration in Finland

Today we turned the bed right way. Hope this was the last time. The underside of the bed is now painted. Great thanks to my friends and nephews who came to help because my brother and his wife and my dad and my mother are on vacation in Croatia. I have not been able to build a truck because I've been sick + my wife was surgery on Tuesday, so I'm trying to be assisting her.

The underside of the cabin looks like this! I like so much!
By the way. When my brother saw this, he was silent for a moment and said, "in what kind of weather can this drive anymore???"

Re: Silverado restoration in Finland

Pictures 1 and 2:
We got the tailgate to fit in the bed surprisingly well.

Picture 3:
The second side of the lower arm bushes were problematic. The inside of the bushes was a bit too big. Hope to find the right size...

The truck is now fully painted. In the first picture the painter himself. Great thanks to the classic park and Jukka & Valtteri! Today we took the bed home.

Today we put the front axle in the frame. We also lifted the cabin over the frame.

Re: Silverado restoration in Finland

A little bit of sandblasted. There are still a lot of small parts remaining that need to sand blast.

That is the perfect comment. Your truck is becoming so nice. The paint is beautiful. I also like the "work stand" for the front axle and crossmember.

Thank you LT7A! Hopefully we will get to the point of assembling a truck. About "work stand". I didn´t find nothing else than a trash can.

Hello Mike!

It is good when it works ... I'm a little modified by it so now works better. The sandblasting cabinet is now in my workplace because there are two large screw compressors and two air dryers so air pressure does not stop. The price / quality ratio of the sandblasting cabinet is pretty good, it cost about $ 250.
