Help

Hi I bought a 1969 4x4 c10???? My question is the glove box vin number matches to a 1972 c10 truck and the title is for a 1969 c10. From what I've been reading if its a 4x4 it should be a k20 is that right? Is there any way to fix this problem. This started out as a Dad/son but ending up to be a dad project. I'm in over my head with project one rusty area leading to another. But I'll start with the vin any suggestions out there I guess ideally if I can find a wreck 69 4 x 4 with a good title and glove box I would fix it

Lightbulb Re: Help

You have posted this in the little traveled Suburban section where few attempt cab swaps. You will have better luck in the pickup section. Here are a couple of threads that may help you.

And use the search box above for yet more information without having to wait for a reply. Remember to click the 67-72 button.

And welcome aboard. And expect everyone ask for pictures of your new pride and joy. (Hint!)

If it is a pickup I can move this to the pickup forum for you.

Re: Help

C=2wd
K=4wd
10=6 lug
20/30=8 lug
69-72 had the tall hood.
69-70 had park lights in the grill.
71-72 had park lights in the bumper.

Pretty much anything may have been changed over the years.
Some vehicles have been said to be 4x4 but slipped out w/ C trim on the fender...
The VIN in the door jamb should tell the truck year. If it doesn't match the title, you have a problem.
