flex plate star washers ?

Installing new flex plate but need new star washers. Just wondering if they have to be a certain grade for the 60lbs. torque on the bolts. They came with it and I want them back on, the old ones are missing some teeth and was told not
to use old ones. Is just a stock 350/350. Only found one store in town that has some.

Re: flex plate star washers ?

I tend to use new bolts and the washers or lack of washers that come with them when doing a new flex plate or flywheel.

Re: flex plate star washers ?

I've been picking up the ones available at the local hardware store. No problems with them breaking or splitting. Dab of loctite blue also before torque ing down

thanks, going to get them this morning. Really hard to find, only one store in town. Unseasonably warm this week so get it done to see if that is where my noise is coming from. I have other thread started on the noise
