longbed to shortbed sectioning

I have looked all over this site and I haven't seen any info regards to how much metal needs to be removed from the bedside both forward and back of the wheel well. I know how much to remove from the frame but not the bedside itself. Yeah, it'll be a lot of work but I can tig with the best of them. Any info?

Re: longbed to shortbed sectioning

This is the best info I could find but it isn't too clear. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...9&postcount=28

Byrdman, I have seen their site but It only talks about how to cut the frame. They want you to buy their bed sides and I am not out to drop over a grand just for bedsides. 20 hours of my time work chopping, cutting, and hammer welding sounds like a better deal to me.
