What year is ths c10

Looking to see if I can get my neighbor to part with this as it has been sitting like this for at least 10 years since I first saw it and is killing me to see it like this. Just wondering if anyone can peg the exact year off these pics.

I don't want to low ball the guy and I am not sure what kind of value this would have in it current condition what would be considered a good price? I would like to come at this with the best chance of picking it up.

Re: What year is ths c10

Man that is a tall order. Very difficult to estimate value without seeing more of the truck. Would need to see the condition of the rest of it: chassis, interior, engine. Would need to know if it runs, drives, stops and whether there's an existing title.

Way too many unknowns. I suggest you strike up a conversation with the owner and express your interest and the fact that you've been pining over it for so long. Give him/her an opportunity to shoot you a price, then go from there.

Re: What year is ths c10

If you really want it, make an offer. You can always negotiate. I watched a 71/72 blazer for almost 11 years in this man's side yard. The day I decided to approach him, I saw someone else loading it onto a trailer when I pulled up to the house. Same thing with a 67 CST, the day I finally asked about it, someone had bought it the day before. It had perfect condition buddy buckets too. The moral of the story is, don't wait!!

Re: What year is ths c10

I turned the pics right side up for a better perspective on the truck.

Re: What year is ths c10

There is a buyers/sellers etiquette involved in purchasing/ selling a vehicle...

First find out if he is interested in selling. If so ask HIM what he wants!!! Or let him think about how much he wants.

Doing this takes the potential pressure off him that you might sound like you are pressuring him to sell it.
When, and if he comes up with a number, then talk $$$ if he's WAY too high, tell him you were interested but were unable to afford it at that price. You walk away from the deal without making him mad.
There is one good part about this happening, he KNOWS you are interested, and may drop the price in the future, IF you wait.......

Never make a point blank offer. it MAY be to his liking, but if it is not you might torch the chance you'd ever have to buy it. You don't know people. He could walk around for years to come remembering that you were the goober that wanted to cheat him out of his old pickup.....

Re: What year is ths c10

I would offer to tear down the old shed if he gives you the truck. I wouldn't give more than scrap value from what I can see. Not saying I wouldn't want to own it just It probably has been wrecked and doesn't look to be in good shape.

Offer him the $500 for the truck and tell him you'll remove the shed for him, too.

Re: What year is ths c10

I noticed that the front fenders and hood are different color. It might have been in an accident at some time. Might check the frame. Could be a bargaining chip to keep the price down.If the frame is ok the gaps on the sheet metal will be consistent and the front bumper will sit strait. The bumper mounts directly to the frame so it will tell all. Good luck on picking that one up.

I just looked closer.Looks like the doors and bed were changed. Cab and front are original.
