Help finding Ebay comps?
So Im selling off most of my stuff. Nearly all of it I can find comps here on the board for pricing.
I have some large items that I cant sell on the board because there is no way Im going to deal with shipping large expensive parts. These are also items I also cant find recent (or any ) board comps. Im not an Ebay user at all, so Im crap at trying to find stuff even though a bunch of you fellas have tried to help me in the past … duh haha. Im trying to find some recent comps on a few 71-72 items. And seriously this isn't a fishing for a sale expedition, please no PM's. Im just trying to decide if this stuff is worth selling, or just keep it stored safely away. I really appreciate the Ebay pros here. All NOS factory stuff … 69-72 Hood In the bed fender wells R/L 72 drivers side door passenger side door skin only Front fender wells R/L Grill surround 71-72

Re: Help finding Ebay comps?
Craig's list should be best for items you want to have picked up.
As far as price decide what's the least you would take then add a little to cover the folks that will always offer less then you're asking. On a side note you could have something worth $1000, ask $500 and someone will offer $100

Re: Help finding Ebay comps?
Im not going to sell anything on Ebay … Just using them for comps. I will be listing on Craigslist and using local word of mouth.
Im not giving anything away. The money I get is all going to my Corvair (for now). Im looking for max price. Im aware of the pitfalls of Craigslist for sure. Im one of those people that doesn't like to dicker on prices, I don't like any kind of weird parts drama. Ill just leave the big stuff stored away forever before I let the sales process stress me out.

Re: Help finding Ebay comps?
Bill I do not do facebook. The prices you found are all new reproduction parts, those are all I was able to come up with too.
The parts I have are NOS GM never installed parts. Most still in the factory boxes. The hood though is not and has some very slight damage … Thanks!

I imagine my hood because it has some slight damage could go for that price, but the other parts on the older thread I would hang on to before I sold for those prices. I know I sound greedy and am not helping our cause but I need to recoupe as much as possible for my other project Thanks again for the help fellas.

Re: Help finding Ebay comps?
I know things have gotten crazier yet with some N.O.S. parts prices. But way back when I was telling people, if they had no references to price against, at least double the price of Taiwan parts.

Re: Help finding Ebay comps?
Are you searching current or sold ebay listings? I only look at sold prices for comps. Unfortunately ebay doesn’t save the info for very long any more, so rare parts may no longer be available.

Re: Help finding Ebay comps?
Thanks everyone for your help. I might put something on Craigslist locally to test the waters. Because of my absolute desire to not ship it looks like I may just keep the stuff stored away. Its not like the value is going to drop like a rock anytime soon. And if it does that's on me.
I did reach out to a local fella that ships a ton of stuff to see if he was interested in shipping, but he declined because of the time, cost, and effort required to make sure things arrived undamaged the money just wasn't there for him.
