Post Vibration Vibration Rearend?????

I just put a new trans (400 auto) and transfer case in my 67' chevy and I have a vibration that you feel threw the seat. It's not a constint vibration but one that comes and then goes then comes right back again. Only does this at about 55mph and up. I put a new drive shaft on it and I don't hear any rearend noise. I jacked up the back and ran it and it still did it so I don't think it's the tires.. Let me know what you think. Thanks Cliff

Did you have your new driveshaft balanced?

Yes my driveshaft was balanced. I've got two driveshaft that were built and balanced
for this truck.I'm going to try the other driveshaft tonight. I just can't beleive that Acme driveshaft in Decator Il. would make a bad driveshaft but I guess anything is possible..

Had similar problem with my brothers truck. Found out the bearing cups on the rear u-joint were not fully seated against the universal joint. Found it by grabing the drive shaft in the rear was able to feel slight side to side movement.
