700r4 lockup question
Swapping out 700r4 this winter and gathering parts. All that is left is the lockup kit. They all have there strong points. I am leaning towards the B&M kit with the speed control. But I don't believe there is a unlock for emergency braking or any kind of a "kickdown" feature to downshift at speeds. But I do like the ability to set the speed at which it will lock up. Can a brake switch and vacuum switch be hooked up to this unit to add these features?
Thanks Rick |

Re: 700r4 lockup question
I have the b&m and highly recommend it. It is wired thru brake switch so when you apply brakes it will unlock it.

Re: 700r4 lockup question
Thanks That is what I needed to hear. I am ready to pull the trigger on one. I have a bunch of money in this project and the lockup kit and the bowtie tv cable for the edelbrock carb are the last two items I need. Doing this swap and disc brake conversion this winter and paint next fall.

Re: 700r4 lockup question
I do not have a problem with that at all. It would be easier actually. And does anyone know if the price of the TV cable includes the phone conversations about the trans pressures? Or is that extra?

Re: 700r4 lockup question
I used the Bowtie OD Kit attached. I did add a switch to lock up anytime like a tow/Haul button

Re: 700r4 lockup question
I pulled the trigger on the tv kit and the B&M speed controlled lockup kits. I should now have everything needed for this swap. But I am into it about 1K more than I thought it would be. I sure hope it works out the way I hope. Had I of known I would have this much in it I would have considered the gear venders with my th400.
