Smile Lower Kits

I was suprised to find out that Bell Tech doesn't do a lowering kit for my 72 C10. Any suggestions on the best kits out there? Thanks

Re: Lower Kits

I used early classic dropped spindle disc brake kit for my truck and am very happy with it. And sway bar too.

Re: Lower Kits

What they said! 2/4 drop on my 72 with shock relocate kit and adjustable panhard bar. Awesome. All ECE.

Re: Lower Kits

I am new to all of this lowering kits and disc brake conversations, but do need to make a front disc brake conversion and lower it a bit as well maybe 2 inches max. on my truck that purchased back in august.
The disc brake conversion kits on ECE, when it says with 2.5" drop does that mean that kit will allow me to further drop the truck by 2.5" or this is for a dropped truck with a 2.5" drop? Do I need a separate lowering kit as well? As mentioned I am completely new to all of this and learning quiet a lot form all of you on this website.

Re: Lower Kits

I have used classic performance. I had good luck with their kit. I used a complete drop spindle, 5 lug and disc brake conversion kit. Everything bolted right up, and I had no issues at all.

The ECE disc conversion kit can be ordered stock height or with 2 1/2” drop built into the spindle. The drop spindle is best way to lower the truck as it doesn’t alter the ride quality at all.

I have the ECE disc conversion 2 1/2” drop spindles on my 69 short step. Along with a set of 2” drop springs and the sway bar brackets for a lowered truck. I used DJM parts in the rear for a leaf spring flip since ECE doesn’t make that solution or I would have used all ECE parts.

Order direct. Tell them you're a member here. They used to offer discounts for board members.

Re: Lower Kits

.
I will pile on... ECE drop spindles/springs ++ ECE drop springs/blocks and panhard and shock relocation in the rear.

While you're at it, spring for the front and rear sway bar kits as well. These things will make your truck stay much more level in the turns but the most benefit of all is that it calms the thing down at speed going down the road over irregularities. The difference is amazing!

Re: Lower Kits

Really? Because they have a lowering kit for my 72 C10... As well as every other 72 C10 out there....
They don't have the performance handling drop kits, but they do have drop kits.
