Sub Frame Upgrade question (1960 1/2 Ton)

I have been doing some reading, and have a few questions for those of you that have upgraded to newer sub frame ...

Is anybody still running a horseshoe engine mount?

I have read that all except for 2 holes line up - how hard is it to enlarge the holes?

Any tips / advice you would give me before I wander down this road?

Thanks,
Keith

Re: Sub Frame Upgrade question (1960 1/2 Ton)

Here is the go to thread regarding changing the entire front suspension on the '60-'62's.

It entails a little more work than on the '63-'70 frames.

As for the front engine mount, I believe you will just have to remove the bracket from the front of your original crossmember and bolt or weld it to the new crossmember once you check for the correct fore/aft distance.
