s10--frame swop 53 3100

Need help can I use wiring harness from 94 s10,as this is the frame, and engine I will be using with the 53 3100. Or do I need to use the engine harness, and install fuse block s to supply other extra circuits?

Re: s10--frame swop 53 3100

I do it all the time, use the whole wiring harness. people who say its easier to put in a new setup just arent afraid to be wrong I guess. I have what is called a "wiring day" where I just hook up all the plugs. usually I start it that same day and try out the lights.

now if you are switching up the motor and trans, fuel tank, etc, you might have less work overall with a replacement setup.

Unhappy Re: s10--frame swop 53 3100

Joedoh, thanks for the info. I'm a green horn at this, so man of many questions.along the same lines with my inquiry about the wiring. So the fuse block and main harness will work, wasn't sure if there is a distance issue with any of the bulk wiring. Also just trying to figure out what I need to save or scrap ,as I don't have lots of room, can I make the steering column and master cylinder work,i heard the bracket s are kinda integrated and may be difficult to make work on the 3100 firewall. I hope to look at some pics of your project..And try to get pics of my stages as I go. Thanks

check out my hannah thread on this forum, I cut the firewall section out of my 95 donor and welded it to the 41, worked great.
