Re: Need some engine advice and suggestions...

That fuel pump P/N doesn't show up, do you mean 11101?

Everything else looks good. I would recommend SS covered teflon hose. I had a problem with the SS rubber hoses pushing/outleaking fumes/vapor and my garage stunk from fuel.

What size fitting do you have out of the tank? Do you have a return fitting?

P/N corrected, . I have 10AN fittings in all ports. I was going to plumb the return line to my fuel filler neck. Does the teflon hose bend very easily?

No, the teflon line has a large bend radius.

Thanks guys. Well I pulled the trigger on the fuel system and should have that taken care of in the next week. I have the following things that need to be connected to receive vaccuum/boost signal. My question is where exactly to pull it from, above (A) the butterflys or below (B)?

PCV - B
transmission - A (ported?)
Blowoff valve - B?
MSD BTM - B?
Boost/Vacuum gauge - A
FPR signal - A (according to Aeromotive tech)

Thoughts or suggestions?

I apologize for being slow with my updates, but I have made progress!!

The new fuel system is installed, 10AN supply/8AN return. I cleaned up the engine compartment, including a new radiator and fan setup (with custom radiator holder). I also had a new tank built with a sump and the proper fuel fittings. Everything seems to be working fairly well, although I'm still trying to get the carb, FPR and BOV dialed in. It's running to rich. I've lowered the pressure on the regulator to 5-5.5 psi, but I think the problem is with the BOV not opening enough at low idle. Any suggestions? I know I need a wideband to help with the tuning, but I want to replace the headers first before installing one. Here's some pictures to catch me/you up, .

Re: Need some engine advice and suggestions...

Where do you have the reference line for the BOV running to?

Is the pump sitting higher then the tank?

Looking good.

It's connected to the back of the carb, same place as the tranny modulator valve. Pump is below the tank. I think my problems is the adjustment on the BOV. Any ideas where to start?

Sounds great!

Tell me about those stainless headers. What brand? Do they hang below the frame?

Re: Need some engine advice and suggestions...

Sounds good and I like the SS headers. I like the muffled exhaust better, just sounds cleaner.

Two things I noticed, your track bar is way off, should be parallel with the ground at ride height. Is your driveshaft too short? I see a lot of the slip yoke in the one picture.

The 50 series flowmasters quieted everything down but it still has a good rumble. The cut outs are just to mess with 5.0's and rice burners, .

I had to move the mounting point down on the track bar (more pics in my build thread) because it was interferring with the aluminum rearend cover. It seems to work well at this location. I'm replacing the 4" drop springs with 6" drop springs so that should help level it out some.

As far as the driveshaft, it has approximately 2" that go into the transmission, I assume that is enough? I've got a couple more things that I'm going to do to the suspension that could affect that measurement, when I'm done with that I'll verify that everything is still good.

Re: Need some engine advice and suggestions...

You should have about an inch left out of the trans, so that could be around 3" in the transmission.

Re: Need some engine advice and suggestions...

Rob,
Did you ever do methanol injection? I believe Steve at NewEra Racing engines does this in lieu of an intercooler to reduce detonation. And in turn, run more boost to make huge power. Sorry if it is in the thread somewhere and I missed it, kinda just skimmed through, instead of reading.
