Pic of the truck back together.We ran in to an issue with the oil pan hitting the ground before the cross so he is getting a Milodon pan for it. It's quite a bit shorter and should workout great.So in this pic the font is about 1 inch from sitting .

I worried about this on mine as well (notched x-member w/an OE BBC 6qt deep pan). I swapped over a Milodon 5qt pan. Once the motor was dropped in place, it was about 1" above the bottom of the x-member scrubline.

His 502 is a gen 6 block what gen is yours?His pan is like 10 in with the plug dip on the very bottom.The gen6 Milodon pan is 7.75 inches deep.

It's alive and running and he's putting miles on it so far so good said it drives nice sits on the side tanks and bolts for the trans cross.The Milodon pan worked out great he also put on patriot chevell headers 3 in to spin tech mufflers.Next is to finish the bed.

He had it done at a local place that is not a chain so not sure what product they use said they shoot it 6 times lol not sure on that.
