How much for 1965 chevy Impala?
How much is a 2-door hardtop 1965 Chevy Impala worth in excellent shape with 24,000 origional miles and 1 repaint( it's not an ss).Has vinyl top,no a/c,at,327? I know an old gentleman that has one and he bought it from a friend of mine I work with when it had 16,000 miles on it and paid my friend 5-6,000 for it 12 years ago .My friend got it from his mom which was the origional owner. he said he's not quite ready to sell but told me he's getting kind of old and might be selling it some time in the future and told me I can come over and look at it which I plan to do.Thank you . coupe or sedan? the sedan would be worth considerably more than a coupe, as they're harder to find.

Good question. I've been looking for a 67 and they're not easy to come by. I think 65's are little more common.

65 impala
I sold my 65 ss 396/ 4spd car 3 years ago for $8000. It had 1 repaint and I was the third owner. It had 67k miles. Black w/ black interior. I struggled to get $8000 for it (took me about a year). I even had the build sheet. I'm guessing that one is in the $5k range. Brian

I would say only in the 4-5000 range.

If it has bucket seats it would be worth more. Be careful if it has a new top on it. It might be hiding the rust.

Check the frame out carefully and look into the trunk as they had a tendacy to rust between the window and deck lid. If it is a good solid car then what Burnsman said would be about right.
It sounds like a really nice car but the SS big blocks are higher priced, (numbers matching 4 speed convertables). They built a lot of 65 full size Chevrolets and there are a lot of them around yet. Jim Last edited by JimKshortstep4x4; 06-01-2005 at 09:33 PM. |

I had a Red on Black '65 Impala 2 door hardtop. It was a numbers-matching 327/Powerglide car. It had been repainted once and the upholstery was redone. The engine was a little tired but it ran fine. It had Cragar SS's on it. Sweet looking car. I was the third owner. I sold it for $3200 fairly easily.
If it's an original car. It should be pretty easy to tell if it's a 327 car. They had "327" right above the crossed flags on the front fenders. The 283 cars had "283" in the same spot.

Warbones, I know where a 67 is sitting under a shed, all I have seen is the back sude of the car. This car is in the same area where a 67 chevelle ss resides. The very old man who owns the car also has a 67 C10 in the same barn, he will not sell either. I will try to find out what model the 67 is, if it is a hard top I will let you know.

now you just had to do it, didnt ya?
make me wish I still had my 66 from back in high school. 2dr HT, 327, camel backs, PG, dual antennas (63 Impala styled). <sniff-sniff> she was my first project, frame off, NICE job, all in primer until some $%^&^*(^%&(&^%&% moron ran into it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! these are sweet!!!!! I am guessing in the $5K range is fair.
