What color was the original blazer gas tank?

I bought a new tank for my blazer (because my current one leaks) and I need to paint it. I was thinking Black or matalic grey... but I would lean towards what they came from originally.

Were they grey, black or body color? (or something else)

Not sure, the one I took out of my Jimmy was black with a good portion of dirt all over. I bought a steel one and painted it with black undercoating, looks good imho.

I think in general anything under the the truck would have been painted a basic black.
