Does anyone know what lift is needed to fit 38" tires. I have an 8" lift and want to know if I need a body lift too. I am not going to wheel it hard. Any help would be great, thanks.

mall crawling you should be fine with 8"... dont expect to be able to do much off roading without stuffing tires into fenders... a little cutting of the fenders and all shoudl be good. but if your like me and refuse to cut the fenders then more lift will be needed. 2" body lift should suffice, however i dont agree with body lifts on a blazer for fear of something bad happening.

Agree with nathan 454 on the lift/tire combo.

Mark6730 is this the red Blazer you bought? Are you going to replace the 4 inch lift on it?

71jimmy this is on a different Blazer. I have 3 others, one I am going to put on 38", one is slamed, the other I don't know yet but all are projects.

I have 6 inch suspention and 3 inch body. I rubs on minor stuff so if you are going to offroad at all, I would suggest using 2-3nches of body lift. I will be going up to 8 inch springs one of these years. haha. BTW, this is subject to the width you choose and actual 38's or not. My OD onthe PJ's are 38.2 and 15.50 wide. Take a Ground Hawg 38 and it is more like a 36.5.

Ord 1" aluminum body lift and maybe their zero rate leaf spacer would get you there.
