Shortening a bed

I'm sure this is on here some where but I'm cutting a long bed down to make a short bed on my 66 can anyone tell me how much comes out of the front and the rear. Thanks

I believe you want to take 12" out of the front and 8" out of the rear.

I thought I remember reading somewhere that the wheel well opening on the shortbeds is 2" shorter as well, but I don't know if that's in addition to the 12" and 8" cuts, or included in those.

Sound about right I think if I'm correct which if im not someone correct me if you measure from the center or the wheel forward 12 inches and make a mark and measure 12 inches from the font if the bed back and Mark the measurement between the 2 marks is what should be removed to make the wheel bust center of the wheel arch then the 8 inches off the back and should be correct length

Powerblock guys did this on a build. Should be able to find it online.
